Our First Date! (:

Our First Date <3     #funnestthingofanyoneslives

My beautiful wife knows I LOVE to write. Poetry, short stories, love notes on her car... everything! So I thought I would take the time to make the first post on the Buckley blog about our first ever date. On how perfect it was, on how hard we laughed and how fun and amazing it was.

So, we had been on LDS Matchup for a little bit messaging back and forth and then she gave me her number, with no hesitation! Not going to lie, I am pretty hard to resist (she's slapping me right now in case anyone was wondering) but we then started texting back and forth! Finally after a few months of messaging, I finally worked up the courage and asked her out on a date! A fun night of Oregano's, and a walk around the temple with some hot chocolate! (: She sent me her address, and I was SO NERVOUS! Driving over, I was freaking the crap out, what would she be like, what would she think of me, but then as I was about to Mary's house, I was just beyond excited!

Walking up to the door, I wiped off my sweaty palms and rang the bell waiting for her to answer it. When she opened the door, I about fell over. She was standing there, with her dark curly hair and beautiful green eyes and she brought me in and introduced me really quick to all the family. And then we booked it so fast out the door, and our perfect night began. Just talking and laughing the whole way, talking about our families and work and school and life and everything that we had going on, it was great. We pulled up to Oregano's and when I heard that the wait time was going to be an hour I laughed a little and asked if we should wait like a moron and Mary said yes haha, so we sat on the bench outside for an hour!

Hahaha, we talked about absolutely everything under the sun, and figured out we had both done a lot of similar things and that we were both kinda crazy! :'D Once we got in, we ordered the bollo pasta and the funniest thing of anyone's lives, she hesitates while ordering meatballs!!! Still to this day, I tease her about that, it was the funniest and cutest thing. We ate and talked about what we wanted out of life, and then left and went to a gas station, grabbed some hot chocolates and went to the temple. We got out and walked up to the center ring outside the front and we found out that  apparently that was the place to hang out on date night as there were like 6 other couples there hahaha! And we saw some friends that were on a date together, a kid from my singles ward with Mary's friend and one of her friends and they weren't quite having the night we were having! :'D

We sat there together and sipped on our hot chocolate and talked about music and what we liked, we talked about what we liked to do and just joked around and were just laughing the whole time about how quick it all was coming together. How much we had in common and about how right the whole thing felt. She was so beautiful, so funny and so amazing in every way. I only hoped she saw the same in me. We then walked around the temple and we were just both so excited. She grabbed my hand and we left our hot cocoas and booked it back to the car and I said I could come to her ward tomorrow. I dropped her off, gave her a hug and we said good night and I was on cloud nine! She was absolutely everything I could have ever dreamed of and more.

I love my sweet wife with all my heart, she's my everything and more :)
